Employability Skills Training with a Difference!
Our employability services are continually committed to helping clients to develop the skills and confidence to get back into work and sustain employment.
V Selective offer a range of specialist courses to help unemployed adults get back into work. As recruiters, our angle is different to many other Employability providers - we use our 'real life' experience of the job market to really help learners.
Before attending our courses, we find that some learners require some basic Literacy, Numeracy, ESOL & IT training in order to get the full benefit. In this case we refer learners to local training organisations who we can recommend.
The following are the main courses that we offer, each is adapted depedning on the type of learners and the individual barriers they may have:
At V Selective, we recognise that everyone’s needs are different. Our work and employability training courses are tailored to the needs of the individual trainee. We treat all our trainees as individuals and believe everyone deserves equal opportunities in the labour market. We believe that for our trainees, developing personal skills and self-confidence is as important as gaining practical skills. For some, this means overcoming social or personal barriers to work including involvement in crime, health problems and long-term unemployment. We design and deliver courses tailored to the needs of different groups, who may face different barriers. These social and personal barriers include:
We also deliver sessions tailored to help the following groups:
We offer a holistic approach to work and employability training. We help our trainees to build practical skills in literacy, numeracy and communication. We work with them to develop their CVs, job search skills and interview technique. We also help trainees to develop key employability and personal skills like effective time-keeping and working with others.
